Argentina likes to run several plays that post up their #5
in the middle-to-high post area. Here, #1 enters to
#5. If he does, he will look for the handoff and #4
will fill the top of the key.
Part 1 of a set play that is usually used to run to set up
the flex offense. #4 flashes high and #1 enters the
ball to him before making a basket cut. When the pass
is made, #5 screens away for #2.
If at any time in the flex offense, Argentina will look to
split the post as illustrated. The play shown is a
continuation of the flex offense set illustrated earlier.
Horns set. #1 dribbles to a side and the wing on that
side (#3 in the illustration) screens away for the opposite
post (#5). The ball-side post (#4) steps out as a
second option.
Open post ball screen in transition. #'s 3 and 4 fill
the ball-side wing and ball-side corner respectively and #2
fills the corner opposite #1.
Set pick-and-pop play. #4 sets a pick and pop ball
screen for #1. #1 can feed the post, hit the #2 in the
corner for a three, or pass back to #4.
