One set is the high ball screen from a 1-3-1 alignment.
#4 will set the ball screen and roll to the basket area.
One option allows #4 to catch going to a spot between the
help-side low block and the basket or #5 to catch on a post
up. The other is to have #4 roll straight to the
basket and #3 to fill behind.
Another ball screen play is a screen the screener for the
ball screener. #4 sets a ball screen for #1 then
receives a back screen from #2. #5 will roll from one
block to the other.
There are two ways the United States women's team will get
into some version of their Triangle Offense. The first
is with the pinch post. From this alignment, #5 will
down screen for #2 to set up a curl to the basket. If
the curl is not open, #1 hits #5 in the help-side pinch post
after #5 comes to the spot.
Another way to get into the Triangle Offense, is with a
dribble handoff. #1 will work a dribble handoff with
#2 to enter into the offense.
Baseline out of bounds play. #2 will screen for #3
before receiving a screen from #4. After #2 clears, #5
will dive to the ball. The inbounds options are in the
following order: #3, #2, #4, and #5.
